What Events are on in Tetbury

Held at Prema Arts Centre and using fun and easy printing techniques with a dash of collage thrown in for good measure, this event is perfect for kids of all ages and the price of £36 covers two adults + two kids.

Even though this event takes place in Bristol, it’s surely one that will attract Tetbury locals as it will provide the perfect opportunity to learn more about postgraduate research programmes at the University. You will get the chance to meet staff from your faculty of interest, from Doctoral Training Entities and from the student services, talk to current postgraduate students, attend talks on general topics including careers, on postgraduate research study, and take a campus tour. This is a traditional pantomime about the daughter of the town inventor and the Beast, held at Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre.

Set out on the illuminated trail with breath-taking light spectacles and head to the new Christmas village to listen to Christmas choirs, get involved in crafts and catch a glimpse of some Christmas characters

  1. Christmas Tree Festival in St. Saviours Church – 03rd of December 2018 to 4th of January 2019

You will see a spectacular array of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, along with a special memory tree where you get to hang a special memory of a loved one.

  1. Tetbury’s Magical Mystery Christmas Night – 7th of December 2018

At 6 PM is when the parade starts, going up Long Street to the Market House, featuring Nailsworth Silver Band and Children’s Torch Light Procession, continued by the Lights Switch-On with Tristan Gemmill and the Lowsley-Williams family who both have strong connections with the town. The Big Switch-On is being organized by the super team at Tetbury Town Council who do such a wonderful job of collecting and decorating the two beautiful Christmas trees.   1. Tetbury Wacky Races – 6th of May 2019

Wobbly wagons will be taking over Tetbury, complete with family fun for those with a need for speed, who can navigate their way around hairpin bends down the course, and be aware that prizes are on offer for those who triumphantly complete all three courses, and shields for the winners of each category, too.
